Coach Birkenbuel is in her 3rd year as an assistant for the Bison Softball program. Amy is a Great Falls High alumni and former Bison Softball player and All-Conference outfielder both her Junior and Senior years. Upon graduation, she went on to the next level of playing at Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota. As a player there she earned All-Conference honors in centerfield as a Sophomore and as a Senior. She stayed an extra year to help coach as a graduate assistant.

The fact that she played here at Great Falls High and took her game to the next level really benefits our athletes because Amy knows what it takes to get to the next level."

Coach Birkenbuel currently teaches first grade at Chief Joseph Elementary.
